Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026
Paz and Code ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://pazandcode.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, project type, budget range, and the message you send. If you select tiles in our Library before sending an inquiry, the codes for those tiles are included in the message so we know what you're interested in. We only ask for what we need to reply to your inquiry.
Automatic information. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and DNS provider (Cloudflare) may log standard request data — IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring. This happens for every request and does not require cookies.
Analytics & interaction data (with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog and Microsoft Clarity to record anonymous craft analytics — pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, time on page, approximate region, which Library tiles you interact with, and aggregate session replays + heatmaps (Clarity) so we can spot rage-clicks, dead clicks, and confusing UX. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers through analytics. You can decline at any time via the consent banner; if you decline, no analytics events are sent and neither tool loads.
Region-based banner display. If you visit from the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, or California, the cookie banner appears and asks you to opt in before any analytics fires. From other regions, where the law treats analytics as opt-out instead of opt-in, the banner is suppressed and analytics is enabled by default — but you can revoke at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
Consent preferences. When you make a choice in the cookie banner, we store your preferences in a small pazcode_consent_v1 cookie and in your browser's local storage so the banner doesn't ask again on every visit. This is a strictly necessary cookie and is set regardless of your other choices.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, ad-network trackers, or cross-site profiling cookies on this site.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and discuss a potential engagement.
- Send project-related communications if you become a client.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Site.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run the Site:
- Vercel — hosting and deployment.
- Cloudflare — DNS and domain registration.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session replays + heatmaps + frustration signals, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Email provider — to deliver and store contact-form messages.
These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy and security commitments.
4. Cookies
We set three categories of cookies. Necessary cookies keep the site secure and remember your session and preferences — they are always on. Analytics cookies record anonymous craft analytics through PostHog and Microsoft Clarity (session replays, heatmaps, frustration signals) so we can see what is working; you can decline them. Marketing cookies are off by default and are only used if you opt in.
You can revisit your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page — that re-opens the consent banner so you can update your preferences.
5. Data retention
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if we enter an engagement, for the duration of the project plus a reasonable period for our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR and California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pazandcode.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information — HTTPS everywhere, access controls on our hosting dashboard, and regular security updates. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy here.
